John Dumbleton

John Dumbleton (Johannes Dumbleton) (approx. 1310 - approx . 1349 ) was an English logician, natural philosopher and scholastic at Merton College , Oxford , where he held the rank of Fellow in 1338 . He was one of the four Oxford Calculators , along with Thomas Bradwardine , William Heytesbury and Richard Swineshead . Little is known about his life and career.

His masterpiece was Summa logicae et philosophiae naturalis ( Compendium of Logic and Natural Philosophy ).
