John Haskell

John Haskell (born February 10, 1958 ) is the author of a short story collection I Am Not Jackson Pollock (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2003), and the short stories American Purgatory ( S. Fischer Verlag , 2008) and Out of My Skin (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2009). His stories and essays have been broadcast on the radio (The Next Big Thing, Studio 360), as well as in books ( The Show You'll Never Forget , Heavy Rotation , All the More Real ) and magazines ( A Public Space , n + 1 , Conjunctions , and McSweeney's ). He has taught writing and literature at Columbia University , Cal Arts, and Leipzig University . He is a fellow of the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation , and lives in Brooklyn.
