John Hathaway (* 1987 ) is an English mixed martial arts fighter who is currently competing in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship .

Hathaway was a former rugby player with Hove RFC. He made his MMA debut on June 25, 2006. Almost three years later, on January 17, 2009, he fought for the first time in the UFC. At UFC 93 he defeated the previously undefeated Thomas Egan by T-KO. Hathaway was able to build a remarkable streak of 14 wins in a row before losing his first fight at UFC 120 against Mike Pyle.
