John Knight (* 1945 in Hollywood ) is an American conceptual artist .

life and work

John Knight was born in Hollywood in 1945 and lives and works in Los Angeles .

Since the early 1970s, John Knight has been exhibiting installations made up of words, letters and logos in contexts of art. He sheds light on the relationships between art, design and the power of institutions. In his site-specific works, the question of context comes to the fore before the image itself as a carrier of meaning.
