John Lawlor
John Lawlor ( John Francis Lawlor; born March 14, 1934 in Dublin , † May 20, 2018 in Milton , Massachusetts ) was an Irish hammer thrower .
At the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm in 1958 , he was seventh and fourth at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome.
In 1961 he won bronze at the Universiade . At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 and at the European Championship in Budapest in 1966 , he was eliminated from the qualification.
In 1955, 1965 and 1966 he was Irish Champion and 1961 English Champion. Starting for Boston University , he became NCAA champions in 1959 and 1960 . His personal best of 65.18 m, he set on June 24, 1960 in Bakersfield .
