John David Lumsden (born December 15, 1960 in Edinburgh - † April 22, 2016 ) was a Scottish football player .

Athletic career

John Lumsden began his career at the Scottish club East Fife , with whom he played in the lower league area. Regularly employed there at a young age, he moved to Stoke City in 1979 in the English First Division . There he completed six league games by the summer of 1982, then he went to non-league football at Leytonstone & Ilford in the Isthmian League .

In 2015, it was announced that Lumsden had a brain tumor . He died in April 2016 at the age of 55 after a long illness.
