John McBain

John McBain (* 23. April 1963 when John Paul McBain ) is an American guitarist and songwriter who primarily as a guitarist for the rock band Monster Magnet was known.

Music career

In 1989 the band Dog of Mystery was formed, which later became Airport 75 and finally Monster Magnet . McBain was the guitarist on the band's first three releases. Due to personal differences between him and frontman Dave Wyndorf, however, he had to leave the band.

Hater was the next band McBain formed along with Brian Wood and Soundgarden members Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd . They recorded two albums, the second of which wasn't released until ten years later (2005).

1997 had John McBain in the recordings of the Josh Homme launched Desert Sessions with. In the same year he founded the band Wellwater Conspiracy , in which his former band members from Hater, Cameron and Shepherd, also performed again. The band has released four studio albums since its inception.

In addition to his membership of Wellwater Conspiracy, McBain launched The Inflight Feature in 2006 , which is made up of collected musical material that could not be used in his band.
