John McSorley
John McSorley ( John Victor McSorley; born September 18, 1941 ) is a retired British javelin thrower and shot putter .
In 1962 he was eliminated from the qualification at the javelin throw at the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade . At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth he was starting ninth for England in the javelin throw and came in 16th place in the shot put.
At the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970 , he won silver in the javelin throw.
In 1962 he became the English javelin champion
