John P. Bojang

John P. Bojang (* in the 20th century; November 2011) was a Gambian educator , politician and diplomat .

Life

Bojang was a teacher, in the mid-1970s he was the headmaster of the Saint Edwards Primary School in Bwiam , and taught, among other things, Yahya Jammeh , the later Gambian president. In 1994 he was appointed Minister of Commerce , Industry Minister and Minister of Labor ( Minister of Trade, Industry and Employment ) called, he was the successor of Samsudeen Sarr . Bojang only remained a member of the cabinet for a short time, he was removed from the cabinet in March 1995 and was then appointed ambassador to the Gambia in France (from May 1995), Switzerland (from 1995), Great Britain (1998-2000), to the Holy See (1998- 2000) and the United States (February 2, 2000 to August 2000) and the Republic of China (October 1, 2004 to September 20, 2006).

Until his death, Bojang was chairman of the National Council for Civic Education (NCCE).

John P. Bojang is the uncle of former President Yahya Jammeh .
