John Riel Casimero
John Riel Casimero (* 13. February 1990 in Ormoc City , Philippines ) is a Filipino boxer in Halbfliegen- and flyweight .
Professional career
In 2007 Casimero started his professional career successfully in the light flyweight division. On February 10, 2012 he boxed against Luis Alberto Lazarte for the interim world title of the IBF association and won by knockout. In July of the same year he was awarded full world champion status. He defended the belt a total of four times and held it until May 5, 2014.
At the end of July of the following year, Casimero competed against Amnat Ruenroeng also in the flyweight division for the IBF world title; However, had to admit defeat unanimously on points. The direct rematch against Ruenroeng, which took place in Beijing in May 2016 , was decided by Casimero with a classic knockout in the 4th round and became IBF flyweight world champion.
