John Tudor Walters

Sir John Tudor Walters PC (* 1866 or 1868 ; † 16th July 1933 ) was a British politician of the Liberal Party .

Life

Walters was elected for the first time as a member of the House of Commons for the Liberal Party on January 12, 1906 and represented there after his re-election in the general election from December 14, 1918 to November 15, 1922, the constituency of Sheffield Brightside . In 1912 he was knighted and from then on bore the suffix "Sir". During his membership in parliament he was also Paymaster General in the government of Prime Minister David Lloyd George between October 1919 and October 1922 .

In the general election of May 30, 1929 , he was re-elected to the House of Commons in the constituency of Penryn and Falmouth and was a member of this until October 27, 1931. Between September and November 1931 he was again Paymaster General in the government of Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald .
