Johns Hopkins Ridge is a prominent mountain ridge in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Royal Society Range, it extends north from Mount Rucker 10 km.
The area was mapped by the United States Geological Survey and using aerial photography by the United States Navy . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the ridge in 1963 after Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore , Maryland , which had sent numerous researchers to work in Antarctica .
