Joint Special Operations University
The Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) is a joint forces across the military - University of US forces based in Hurlburt Field , a base of the United States Air Force (USAF) in Okaloosa County in the State of Florida , near Eglin Air Force Base . The university is the central higher educational institution and a component command ( Component Commands ) of the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) to which it is subordinate. The JSOU was founded in September 2000.

The JSOU trains US soldiers from all branches of the armed forces, personnel from foreign military personnel and civilians in all modern and relevant tactics and operational doctrines of combat command of special operations units. A special approach is placed on the joint action of the armed forces. In particular, the interdisciplinary relationships between the individual special task forces and the armed forces are discussed. The decor is training center for all higher ranks of the Special Forces ( Special Operations Forces ) of the United States and coordinates training and training operation of all similar facilities within the SOCOM. In addition to on-site studies, the JSOU also offers correspondence courses and supports special units with know-how by means of video conferences worldwide.
Course content
The JSOU offers unique training and further education opportunities both as a course on site and in cooperation with other military schools.
In addition to other courses, she offers the 18 Delta Combat Medic Training , the paramedic course for the Special Forces , US Navy Seals , Air Force Pararescuemen and Hospital Corpsmen , the Advanced training for newly assigned Staff Officers and Senior enlisted men ( Ger . “The advanced course for new staff officers and sergeants”), anti-terror courses for special forces, civil servants and allies as well as courses for the cultural aspects of all possible areas of operation.
