Jon Brower Minnoch

Jon Brower Minnoch (born September 29, 1941 on Bainbridge Island , † September 10, 1983 in Seattle ) is the heaviest person who has ever lived. His weight could not be measured in his day; Doctors estimated it at 1,400 lb (about 635 kilograms). His height was 185 cm. At the age of 12 he already weighed 133 kilograms, at the age of 22 he finally weighed 230 kilograms. In March 1978 he had to be carried to the hospital after a heart failure . He spent two years there and lost 419 kilograms, the greatest weight loss in human history to date. However, his body was so strained by his extreme food addiction that he finally died of edema 19 days before his 42nd birthday .
