Jonas Gradauskas
Jonas Gradauskas (born February 5, 1923 in Butkūnai , Wolost Jonava , now Jonava Rajongemeinde ; † January 2, 2018 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian professor and surgeon . He was one of the founders of Lithuanian pediatric surgery .
Life
From 1947 Jonas Gradauskas completed a diploma course at the Kauno valstybinis universitetas in Kaunas and received his doctorate in medicine in 1966 . From 1950 to 1957 he worked at the Vilnius Military Hospital and from 1958 to 1966 at the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital in Antakalnis . From 1964 to 1990 he was a pediatric surgeon at the Ministry of Health of Lithuania in Vilnius. From 1966 to 1994 he taught at the medical faculty of the Vilniaus universitetas , from 1991 as a professor . From 1978 to 1990 he worked in the Republic Center for Pediatric Surgery at the Vilnius Children's Hospital in Santariškės .
His brother was the radiologist and professor Liubomiras Gradauskas (1929–2012).
