Wolost Jonava
The Wolost Jonava (lit. Jonavos valsčius ) was an administrative unit ( Wolost ) in central Lithuania . The center was the city of Jonava , now the core city of the Jonava district . The Wolost Jonava has been mentioned in a document since the second half of the 19th century. On June 20, 1950, the Wolost in what was then Soviet Lithuania was dissolved. The territory then belonged to the Jonava Rajon ( Jonavos rajonas ).
