Juozas Mickevičius (educator)
Juozas Mickevičius (born June 12, 1907 in Trupelis, Jonava Rajongemeinde, † November 22, 1974 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian educational scientist and rector at the Lithuanian University of Education .
Life
From 1924 to 1927 he worked as a worker in the printing house in Marijampolė . From 1928 to 1929 he studied in Moscow and from 1930 to 1931 at the Lenin School. From 1930 he was a member of the Communist Party of Lithuania and from 1940 of the CPSU . In 1948 he graduated from the party college of the CPSU in Moscow. From 1946 to 1949 and from 1953 he taught at the Lithuanian University of Education . From 1955 to 1960 he was the rector of the institute and from 1958 a lecturer.
