Pranas Vilkas
Pranas Vilkas (born April 17, 1936 in Gaižiūnai , Wolost Jonava ) is a Lithuanian engineer and politician .
Life
From 1942 to 1946 he studied at the Skaruliai elementary school near Jonava and after graduating from high school in 1954 at the Jonava Middle School , he graduated from 1954 to 1959 with a degree in mechanics at the Kauno politechnikos institutas . From 1960 to 1961 he taught at the Vilniaus pedagoginis institutas . From 1962 to 1991 he worked at the “Precizika” research institute as chief engineer and deputy director. From 1991 to 2000 he was General Manager of UAB "Brown and Sharpe-Precizika" and from 2000 to 2008 a member of Seimas .
From 1973 he was a member of the CPSU , from 2000 to 2002 of Lietuvos liberalų sąjunga , from 2003 the Liberalų Demokratieų partija and since 2004 the Darbo partija .
He is married. With his wife Regina he has the son Gintauta.
