Jonas Jackus
Jonas Jackus (born April 23, 1894 in Žviliūnai near Subačius , † February 3, 1977 in Kaunas ) was a Lithuanian lieutenant general .
Life
From 1914 to 1916 he studied at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the University of Petrograd . In 1916 he graduated from the military school in Vladimir and in 1917 the school in Oranienbaum . Then he took part in the First World War. At the end of 1918 he was chairman of the board in Subačius district . In 1919 he was arrested. In 1924 he completed the high officer courses and in 1928 the General Staff Academy of Czechoslovakia . In 1931 he was promoted to lieutenant general.
From 1930 to 1934 he headed the Kaunas Military School .
