Jonathan Gilbert

Jonathan Gilbert (born July 10, 1968 in the United States ) is a retired American actor . His sisters Melissa and Sara Gilbert are also actresses.

Career

Gilbert became famous for the role of Willie Oleson in the television series Our Little Farm . In 142 episodes he played the son of the merchant family Oleson for nine years. Gilbert was known to never finish reading the subsequent script, "because he wanted to be surprised when he watched the episode on television." After the end of Our Little Farm , Gilbert retired from the acting business.

Private

Like his sister Melissa, Jonathan Gilbert was adopted as a child by Paul Gilbert and Barbara Crane. Both half-sisters are Sara Gilbert, who played the role of Darlene in the comedy series Roseanne . His grandfather was the comedy writer Harry Crane.

After the end of his acting career, Gilbert made a "Bachelor of Arts" at "Hamilton College" and a "Master of Business Administration" at the "Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College". He then worked as a stockbroker in New York . Gilbert also participated in Peace Corps charitable projects in South America and Africa for several years. Today he lives in California.
