Jonathan Kiprotich Kitilit (born April 24, 1994 in Trans-Nzoia County ) is a Kenyan middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800-meter run .

Athletic career

Jonathan Kitilit gained his first experience at international championships at the 2013 Junior African Championships in Bambous , where he won the silver medal over 800 meters and finished fifth with the Kenyan 4 x 400 meter relay. Two years later he took part in the Military World Games in Mungyeong , South Korea , where he was fourth in the 800 meters and 12th in the 1500 meter run . In 2018 he took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time , where he finished sixth over 800 meters in 1: 46.12 minutes.

In 2018 Kitilit became the Kenyan champion in the 800-meter run.
