JR Rotem
Jonathan Reuven "JR" Rotem (* 1975 in Johannesburg , South Africa ) is a music producer .
Career
Rotem is of Israeli-Finnish descent and was born in South Africa. He grew up in Toronto and now lives in Beverly Hills . He played the piano at an early age and enjoyed listening to both classical and rock music. Rotem attended Berklee College of Music and studied jazz composition.
In 2006 Rotem founded his own label Beluga Heights ; as the first artist he took Sean Kingston under contract. From then on he produced various songs for Sean Kingston, including Take You There , which went platinum . Rotem also worked with many other well-known artists such as Plies , Rick Ross , Leona Lewis , Iyaz , The Game , 50 Cent and Jason Derulo .

In most of the songs produced by Rotem you can hear a synthesized voice at the beginning that says: "JJJJ JR" or at the end of a song "Beluga Heights".
