Iyaz

Iyaz (* 14. April 1987 in the US Virgin Islands ; bourgeois Keidran Jones ) is an American R & B - singer and rapper .

Career

Iyaz was born Keidran Jones in the US Virgin Islands . However, he grew up on Tortola , which is part of the British Virgin Islands . His father was a singer in a band and his mother led the church choir. At the age of eleven he performed at a Christmas concert and during his college years studying image and sound engineering, he recorded music with classmates. They had a hit in the Caribbean with the song Island Girls .

Sean Kingston found him on Iyaz's MySpace page . Kingston brought him to the United States, where he signed him to his Time Is Money label . Iyaz recorded an album with producer JR Rotem in 2009. In February 2010, the single Replay was released , which rose to number 2 in the US charts and reached number one in Great Britain and Switzerland .

Before the album was released, the second single Solo was released in August of the same year , but except in England, where it reached number three, it was unable to build on the success of the debut. The album Replay also fell well short of expectations and did not even make it into the charts in many countries such as the USA and Germany.

The first pre-single of the second album was released in 2011 Pretty Girls (feat. Travie McCoy ). In 2013 the second single Da Da Da was released.
