The Jones Escarpment is a curvy, east-facing, 16 km long step in the east Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the Prince Charles Mountains , it is located 20 km north-northwest of Mount Starlight .
Aerial photographs and surveys carried out by the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions between 1955 and 1965 were used to map them. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named them after W. Keith Jones, a geophysicist at Wilkes Station in 1960.
