Mount Starlight is an elongated and 2,150 m high mountain with brown-colored ledges and steep slopes in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . It rises at the west end of the Athos Range in the Prince Charles Mountains .
He was first sighted in November 1955 by a team as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Mayston Béchervaise (1910-1998). It is named after the so-called Operation Starlight , during which depots were set up for further work in this area during this research trip.
