job

Academic work

Jong-Oh Park made a great contribution to the robot industry through scientific results and technological transfer. He was the first to complete a colonoscopic robot (2001) and successfully commercialize it (2005).

In 2005 he developed the capsule endoscope robot. We owe him the first successful in-vivo use with an intravascular microrobot with a diameter of one millimeter. In 2013, he also developed the world's first nanorobot that can select its target and should help treat cancer.

Technology transfer

In 1991 he transferred the “Automatic Insertion Robot” from Odd-Parts to Samsung Electronics , in 1993 the “Polishing Robot” from Die & Molds to Hwacheon Machine Tool and in 1994 the “Automatic Polishing” from Faucet to Yujin Waterworks. He also drew up a contract with Daewoo Motors and Hyundai Motor for the "Intelligent Grinding Robot for Car Brazing Bead" 1997. In 2005 he handed over the "Colonoscope Robot" ERA Endiscope Inc in Italy and the "Capsule Endoscope" to Intromedic Inc. 2015 the "Active Locomotive Intestinal Capsule Endoscope" to Woo Young Medical.
