Jonitz was a village near Dessau in Saxony-Anhalt . Since July 1, 2007 in the course of the district reform in Saxony-Anhalt . it belongs to the Waldersee district of the city of Dessau-Roßlau .
history
The landscape park near Dessau near the village was created by Leopold III. Friedrich Franz von Anhalt-Dessau founded in the 18th century. The first demonstrable performance of the Societätstheater took place on September 24, 1774 on the area of the "Vogelherd near the village of Jonitz".
1722–1725 the church was rebuilt and expanded. The Dessau – Wörlitz railway was opened on September 22, 1894 by the Dessau – Wörlitzer Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft AG. Jonitz received a breakpoint.
From 1901 until after the Second World War there was a vehicle manufacturer in Jonitz .
The places Jonitz and Naundorf were incorporated into Dessau on May 1, 1930, but were outsourced again on April 15, 1933. On April 1, 1935, both communities were united under the name Jonitz-Naundorf and on July 31, 1935, based on the old Waldeser, renamed Waldersee. On November 1, 1945, the community of Waldersee was again incorporated into Dessau.
