Joost Adriaan van Hamel
Joost Adriaan van Hamel (born October 10, 1880 in Amsterdam , † October 18, 1964 in Baarn , Netherlands) was a Dutch lawyer, politician and high commissioner in the Free City of Danzig (1925-1929). Hamel worked as a lawyer specializing in international law in Amsterdam from 1929 to 1945. From 1945 to 1950 he served as President of the Special Court ( Dutch Bijzonder Gerechtshof ) in Amsterdam.
In 1917 Hamel was elected to the Second Chamber of the States General .
