Jordan Harvey (born January 28, 1984 in Mission Viejo , California ) is an American football player.

The defender has played for Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer since the 2018 season .

Player career

Youth and college

Harvey played for Irvine, California's Strikers FC youth club during his school days . After high school, he went to the University of California and played on the college soccer team at UCLA Bruins .

In these four years he was on the field 69 times. While in college, he played for Orange County Blue Star in the USL Premier Development League in 2005 .

Change to the MLS

In the 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft, where MLS teams can top up their Development Rooster , he was selected by the Colorado Rapids . In the next four years he became a regular for the team and stood most of the team's time on the pitch with 2,613 minutes in the 2009 season.

In the 2009 MLS Expansion Draft, he moved to Philadelphia Union on November 25, 2009. There, too, he was able to develop into a regular player.

During the 2011 season he moved to the Vancouver Whitecaps .

National team

Harvey took part in the U-17 World Cup in 2001 with the U-17 national team. He was also in the squad for the 2003 Junior World Cup and was there at a game on the pitch.
