The Jorge Montt Glacier is an opening out into the sea and calving glaciers in the Region of Aysen in Chile , south of the town of Caleta Tortel .
It is located at the northern end of the Campo de Hielo Sur glacier area (which also has growing glaciers), in the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park . The mouth of the Río Pascua is near where the glacier calves.
In 2011 time-lapse photos of the glacier appeared - it was photographed several times a day in 2010 and 2011. During this time it became about one kilometer shorter.
