Jorge Arturo Candía

Jorge Arturo Candía (born September 4, 1956 in Tampico , Tamaulipas ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender .

career

Candía received his first professional contract with Atlético Español , with whom he won the CONCACAF Champions' Cup in 1976 and thus qualified for the Copa Interamericana finals held in November 1976 . These were lost to the top Argentine club of the 1970s, CA Independiente , after two draws on penalties .

Candía spent his last season in the Mexican professional league in 1978/79 in the service of Tecos UAG .

After his active career, Candía worked as a trainer and was responsible, among other things, for various junior teams of the Jaguares de Chiapas .
