Jorge Barrera (born July 1, 1982 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender .
Life
Barrera began his professional career at his hometown club Club Deportivo Guadalajara , where he was under contract from 2001 to 2007. In his last season with Chivas (2006/07) played on loan for other teams and was sold in 2007 to league rivals Santos Laguna . After he had also worked there from 2010, mainly on loan for other clubs, he was given to the Tiburones Rojos Veracruz . He then played a half-season with CD Estudiantes Tecos , which is also based in his hometown , before ending his active career in the ranks of Celaya FC .
