Jorge Eladio Bolaño (born April 28, 1977 in Santa Marta ) is a former Colombian football player , he played in the position of a defensive midfielder .

Career

Bolaño started his career at Atlético Junior in Barranquilla . Here he came to a total of 145 games and scored 10 goals. In 1998 he was also part of the Colombian squad for the 1998 World Cup . For the 2000-01 season, he moved for the first time abroad for AC Parma in the Italian Serie A . At AC Parma he was used regularly, but he was loaned to Sampdoria Genoa for the 2002/03 season. There he was not used, however, and after a season returned to Parma, to the newly founded FC Parma . During the winter break he was awarded again, this time to league rivals US Lecce . For the 2004/05 season he returned to Parma, where he was used regularly. In 2007 he moved to FC Modena . There he played with his team two years to avoid relegation from the Serie B . In the summer of 2009 his contract was not renewed and he was without a club for six months before joining the Colombian first division club Cúcuta Deportivo in early 2010 . He played there for three years before retiring in 2012.
