Jorge de la Vega

Jorge de la Vega (born March 27, 1930 in Buenos Aires ; † August 26, 1971 there ) was an Argentine painter.

De la Vega first studied architecture in Buenos Aires . He came to painting as an autodidact . From 1961 to 1965 he was a member of the Nueva Figuración artist group. In his basically abstract pictures, references to objects can also appear. His works hang in various museums in Argentina, such as the Phoenix Art Museum, the Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro ( Brazil ) and the Art Museum of the Americas at the OAS in Washington, DC He was married to Pauleta de la Vega.
