Raimundo Orsi
Raimundo Bibian "Mumo" Orsi (born December 2, 1901 in Avellaneda , Argentina , † April 6, 1986 ) was an Argentine- Italian football player .
Career
Striker Mumo Orsi started at CA Independiente in his hometown of Avellaneda in 1920 . With the Argentine national team he came to Europe in 1928 for the Summer Olympics in Amsterdam , where his team won the silver medal behind Uruguay . After the Olympics he stayed in Europe and played for Juventus Turin until 1935 . With the legendary Juve team of Quinquennio d'Oro , he was five times Italian champion under Carlo Carcano or Carlo Bigatto and Benedetto Gola . In 1929, Orsi, of Italian descent, was naturalized in Italy and henceforth started for the Italian national football team . At the Soccer World Cup in Italy in 1934 he was a three-time goalscorer and played a key role in Italy's first world championship. In 1935 he returned to South America and played again for Independiente and for Peñarol Montevideo and Flamengo Rio de Janeiro .
