Angelo Schiavio
Angelo Schiavio (born October 15, 1905 in Bologna , Italy , † April 17, 1990 there ) was an Italian football player .
Career
Schiavio played his entire career from 1922 to 1938 at FC Bologna and scored 109 goals in 179 appearances in Serie A , and in 1931/32 he was top scorer in Serie A. During his career he won the Italian championship four times. The Scudetto was won in the seasons 1924/25, 1928/29, 1935/36 and 1936/37 . In 1932 and 1934 he also won the Mitropa Cup with the club . In total, Schiavio completed 342 league games for Bologna FC and scored 244 goals.
On November 4, 1925, Schiavio was appointed to the Italian national football team for the first time . At the soccer world championship in Italy in 1934 he was world champion under Vittorio Pozzo . In addition, he finished with four goals together with Edmund Conen behind Oldřich Nejedlý in second place in the scorers list. After completing the World Cup, he resigned from the national team. In total, he played 21 international matches and scored 15 goals.
