Aurelio Milani (born May 14, 1934 in Desio ; † November 25, 2014 in Milan ) was an Italian football player , he played in the position of a striker .

Career

Aurelio Milani began his career in his home town in Aurora di Desio , where he remained until the season 1952/53 when he to Atalanta in the Serie A moved. Since he was not used here, he moved to the lower class AC Fanfulla where he played a total of two seasons. For the 1955/56 season, Milani then moved to AC Simmenthal Monza in Serie B , after two seasons he moved to league rivals US Triestina . With this club Milani finished first place at the end of the 1957/58 season, so that Triestina rose to Serie A. Nevertheless, he moved to Sampdoria Genoa , where he was one of the top performers in the first season, but this changes in the following season when Milani was only rarely considered. Therefore he moved to AC Padua for the 1960/61 season where he was again a regular player. After a season at Padua, Milani moved to Fiorentina , where he became a regular player straight away. With his 22 goals Milani was together with José Altafini top scorer of the Serie A. In the second season in Florence he was used significantly less and could only score one goal. At the end of the season Milani left Florence for Inter Milan , where he was used as a substitute player. In his second season in Milan Inter became champions, with which Milani could celebrate his first championship title.
