Alberto Orlando (born September 27, 1938 in Rome , Italy ) is a former Italian football player , he played in the position of a center forward .
Life
Alberto Orlando made his Serie A debut in the 1956/57 season wearing AC Turin . For the 1957/58 season he moved to his hometown for AS Roma . After he was hardly used in his first season in Rome, he was given to the league rivals SPAL Ferrara for the following season . In Ferrara , Orlando also prevailed right away and convinced those responsible at AS Roma to bring him back. As a result, he was regularly used for the Giallorossi, made the jump into the regular formation and scored many goals. For the 1964/65 season Orlando then moved to Fiorentina , where he scored 17 goals in 32 games and thus found himself at the end of the season together with Sandro Mazzola from Inter Milan in first place in the goal scorer classification. Despite this success, Orlando moved to his ex-club AC Turin at the end of the season, where he also played often, but could not score as many goals. At the end of the season he then moved to SSC Napoli , where he immediately played his way into the regular formation. He played five times for the Italian national team. He scored his four international goals in a single game: On December 2, 1962 in the Stadio Littoriale in Bologna in a 6-0 win against the Turks on the occasion of qualifying for the 1964 European Football Championship .
