Desio ( Lombard language : Dès ) is a municipality in the Italian province of Monza and Brianza with 41,997 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).
In 1922 Desio Luigi Giussani , the founder of the Catholic lay movement Comunione e Liberazione , was born, in 1857 Achille Ratti , later Pope Pius XI. , baptized in the central church of Santi Siro e Materno .
