Burago di Mòlgora is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4281 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Monza and Brianza in Lombardy . The municipality is located about nine kilometers east of Monza in the Brianza on the Molgora .
history
The name of the place probably goes back to the family name Buriacus . It is also possible that it is originally of Celtic origin. Until 1860, the place still belonged to today's neighboring municipality Vimercate .
Economy and Transport
To the west of the municipality is the Tangenziale Est , the A51 autostrada from Usmate Velate towards Milan . Some medium-sized companies, including the chemical industry, have settled in Burago di Molgora.
