Albiate is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 6405 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Monza and Brianza in the region of Lombardy .

geography

Albiate is around 25 km north of Milan , which was the provincial capital until 2004. The municipality covers an area of ​​2.86  km² . The place is at an altitude of 233 meters above sea level. The only district ( frazione ) is Dosso. The neighboring municipalities are Carate Brianza , Lissone , Seregno , Sovico and Triuggio .

Albiate had a station on the disused Monza - Carate Brianza line .
