Verano Brianza is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9217 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Monza and Brianza in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 11.5 kilometers north-northwest of Monza and about 24 kilometers north of Milan . The Lambro flows through Verano Brianza to the west of the village .

history

The name of the community is probably derived from the Roman Antonius Marcus Vero ; only later did the name change to today's toponym. The addition of the name Brianza served to distinguish it from the municipality of the same name in South Tyrol.
