Giussano is a town with 26,181 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Lombardy province of Monza and Brianza of Italy and can be reached via the Italian Strada statale 36 (from Lake Como to Splügen Pass , Milan - Lecce ).
The municipality consists of the three districts (Frazioni) Birone, Paina and Robbiano, they received city rights with a decree of the President (DPR) of June 24, 2003. The city festival is celebrated on the first Sunday in October.
The municipality borders on the places Arosio (CO) , Briosco , Carate Brianza , Carugo (CO), Inverigo (CO), Mariano Comense (CO), Seregno and Verano Brianza .
Gian Paolo Riva was elected mayor of the municipality on June 8, 2009, and members of the parties Popolo della Libertà and Lega Nord are represented in the city assembly .
