Lazzate is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7782 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Monza and Brianza in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 16 kilometers northwest of Monza , about 23 kilometers northwest of Milan and about 16 kilometers south of Como on the Lambro , which flows here through the Parco delle Groane . Lazzata borders directly on the province of Como .
