Sovico is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 8386 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Monza and Brianza in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 7 kilometers north of Monza and about 20.5 kilometers north-northeast of Milan on the Lambro . The Parco della Valle del Lambro borders the municipality .

traffic

On the Seregno – Ponte San Pietro railway line, there is a train station together with the neighboring municipality of Macherio . The former tram from Monza to Carate Brianza was discontinued in 1960.
