Mitropa Cup 1932
The Mitropapokal 1932 was the 6th edition of the international cup competition. The best teams from Austria , Hungary , Czechoslovakia and Italy took part. It was mostly the champions and cup winners of the respective countries. The participants played in a pure cup mode with two legs in the most important continental football competition in the period before the Second World War. In the event of a tie after two games, a playoff was played. All eight clubs started in the preliminary round or in the quarter-finals. The defending champion First Vienna FC finished the tournament in second place.
At the Mitropapokal in 1932, however, there was no final of its own, as there were serious tumults in the semifinal game between Slavia Prague and Juventus Turin, so the game was canceled and both teams were disqualified. The committee agreed to recognize the other semi-final game between First Vienna FC and AGC Bologna as the final game and to present the trophy to the winner of this duel. The early final was thus held within a week on July 10 and 17, 1932 in Bologna and Vienna as a semi-final. With a 2-0 home game and a 1-0 away defeat, Bologna became the first Italian Mitropa Cup winner. The top scorer was Renato Cesarini from semi-finalists Juventus with five goals.

According to the Mitropa Cup rules, the opponent of the game would have been awarded a result of 3: 0 if a team had left. After that, Juventus would have won the second leg 3-0, but would still have been eliminated. Since an attempt to have both teams play a third match on neutral ground failed, the Mitropa Cup committee should have confirmed the finalist Slavia.
But the Mitropa Cup committee made a Solomonic judgment . Both teams were disqualified; neither of the two received the right to contest the final in 1932. Thus, the overall winner of the other semi-final pairing was almost without a fight Mitropa Cup winner 1932.The following match line-ups are therefore the second semi-finals.
