Jorginho , real name Jorge Luíz Pereira de Sousa (born May 6, 1977 in Goiânia ), is a former Brazilian soccer player .

Career

Jorginho started his career in 1994 at the lower class Goiatuba EC . From here moved to Atlético Paranaense in 1995 . He was under contract with the club for five years, but has also been loaned to other clubs. In June 2001 Jorginho moved to Portugal to Vitória Setúbal . With the club he was able to win the Taça de Portugal in the 2004/05 season .

After winning the title, the move from Jorginho to FC Porto became known. At the club he received a four-year contract. In his first year at Porto he won the championship and cup. The title defense in the championship also succeeded the following season .

On August 30, 2007, Jorginho signed a four-year contract with Sporting Braga . But after two years Jorginho left the club. He moved to Turkey to Gaziantepspor . Here received a contract for two years. After the contract expired in 2011, he returned to Portugal. He came to Rio Ave FC , where he stayed for one season. In December 2012 he signed his last contract as an active again in Brazil with Grêmio Anápolis .
