Jorma Nortimo

Jorma Nortimo (born January 20, 1906 in Helsinki , † July 2, 1958 there ) was a Finnish actor and director .

Nortimo began his activity at the theater in Turku , where he worked throughout his life and from 1936 was also employed in film as an actor. Until his death he could be seen in more than 30 films; he also directed 15 films, including a western about the Mexican revolution , Herra ja ylhäisyys . In 1951 he shot the first of the Rillumarei comedies (in which the plot is interrupted by frequent pieces of music), Rovanienem markkinoilla (German: On the market in Rovaniemi). He also worked as a production designer .
