Herra ja ylhäisyys ( literally in German  : Mr. and Excellency ) is a Finnish film from 1943. Jorma Nortimo directed the western about the Mexican Revolution based on the novel by Simo Penttilä , Sierra-Nuevan Sulotar .

The Finnish-born Lieutenant General TJA Heikkilä experienced exciting and funny adventures around revolutionary processes in the fantasy land of Sierranueva in the first years of the 20th century, which he had to survive with his colleagues in Central and South America.

criticism

The Finnish critics particularly praised the set design and costumes. The story was also mentioned positively: “Heikkila's adventures are clever and intelligently constructed.” Modern critics criticize the somewhat confused plot.

Remarks

The film won three Jussis in 1944 , for best set design and best supporting actor or actress.
