José Bonilla
Jose Bonilla (* 19th November 1967 in El Tigre , Venezuela ; † 14. June 2002 in Caracas ) was a Venezuelan boxer in the flyweight .
Professional career
In 1990 he started his professional career successfully. On November 24, 1996 he boxed against Saen Sor Ploenchit for the WBA World Championship and won by unanimous decision of the judges. He defended this belt twice and lost it to Hugo Soto on points in May of the following year .
In 1999 Bonilla ended his career. He died three years later at the age of 34 after an asthma attack.
